The 7:00 p.m. fashion show in the Grand Ballroom featured ANDRES AQUINO COUTURE, DIDIER PEIRO COUTURE JEWELRY, shoes by Chamian Renee Made In Italy compliments of Dznr Chic Boutique and outerwear by JANERATIONS,it was followed by the gala Couture Fashion Week Valentine’s Ball in the Jade Room.

All proceeds of the auction went to Partners In Health. Winning bids were announced at the Couture Fashion Week Valentine's Ball Saturday evening.

Fashion designer and producer Andres Aquino will present his latest collection entitled "Legend" at Couture Fashion Weekin New York City on Saturday, February 13, 2010. The fashion show will be held in the legendary Grand Ballroom of the world-famous Waldorf Astoria hotel on the city's legendary Park Avenue.

Mr. Aquino is a tireless fashion industry producer and designer who has been featured in numerous magazines, newspapers and TV worldwide including Fashion TV, Collezioni, Book Moda and ModaStyle International. His latest collection of original and classic designs is made from the finest fabrics and embellishments and is inspired by the goddesses of mythologies from around the globe.

“The object of this collection is to bring out the inner goddess in every woman,” says Mr. Aquino. To that end he has teamed up with an array of creative forces including fabulous Parisian jewelry designer Didier Peiro, Sheila Hill-Hightower and Jay Hightower, designers of stunning crystal bouquets, artist Susan Freda who creates museum quality wire dresses and accessories, San Diego-based shoe stylist and boutique owner Chamian Renee of Dznr Chic Boutique, jewelry designer Lek Nasuwan of Toronto's Siam Gallery, Hollywood make up artist Mahealani Diego and trendsetting hair stylist Federico Calce. The show will also include performances by such world-class entertainers as tenor Eduardo Herrera, singers Material Girl, Sarah Elizabeth Charles and Maria Sciorillo, and pianist Prince Igor. The fashion show will be followed by the gala Couture Fashion Week Valentine's Ball which will include a silent auction fundraiser by Partners in Health to benefit the victims of the recent earthquake in Haiti. "Expect an evening of magical entertainment where fantasy and fashion combine," says Andres Aquino. Diplomats, celebrities, socialites and top VIPs are expected to attend the event along with national and international press.

What a fabulous event!

The Timken Museum of Art and Fashion Careers College hosted it's second annual "Art of Fashion"

Guests saw modern interpretations of costumes worn in 12 European masterpieces from the permanent collection of paintings at the Timken Museum of Art. Models stood 'in tableaux' showing the costumes in front of the works of art. Informal modeling took place throughout the evening.

Guests enjoyed a complimentary signature cocktail, a no host bar and light hors d'oeuvres were served.

Event Chair was Patricia O'Connor, CEO and founder of Fashion Careers College. Honorary Chair was London Fashion Design Icon Zandra Rhodes.
